Lochaber multi-instrumentalist and composer, Ewen Henderson, brings his innovative piece Lèirsinn (meaning “perception” in Gaelic) to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. Lèirsinn explores the way humans relate and respond to the physical spaces and landscapes around them and how this is shaped by the imagination. Ewen will be joined by a stellar line-up including Megan Henderson, Hamish Napier, Innes Watson, Iain MacFarlane and Su-a Lee, all performing to a stunning film backdrop created by Hamish MacLeod.
Also appearing is Glasgow-born singer and Celtic harp player Maggie MacInnes. Hailing from a long line of singers from the island of Barra in the Outer Hebrides, she learned most of her Gaelic songs from her mother, the highly acclaimed traditional singer, Flora MacNeil. Maggie has also been involved in various groups over the years, such as Ossian, Fuaim, Eclipse First and The Maggie MacInnes Band, and has travelled widely with her music, touring Europe, the USA, and Canada.
