Join Glasgow Music City Tours for the Merchant City Trad Trail as they share tales of the songwriters and storytellers who have shaped the city’s vibrant folk culture.

All tours start from Scottish Music Centre, City Halls, Candleriggs, Glasgow, G1

Please note that this is a walking tour and will last approximately 2 hours.

This entertaining, informative walking tour has been especially designed for Celtic Connections by Glasgow Music City Tours. The Merchant City Trad Trail traces the story of Glasgow’s folk and roots music scenes from their early beginnings right up to this year’s Celtic Connections.

Walk through some of Glasgow’s oldest streets with expert guides as they share tales of the songwriters and storytellers who have shaped the city’s vibrant folk culture. Several indoor stops are included in the tour, offering the opportunity to warm your hands with a coffee or something a little stronger.

Please note that one venue on the tour is not wheelchair accessible.
