Celtic Connections proudly presents Sam Kelly & Guests
Sam Kelly is a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning singer, song-writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. As a young child Sam spent many a night enraptured, listening to his Irish grandfather tell folk tales, sing folk songs, and play folk tunes on his melodeon. Having caught the bug, Sam has dedicated his life to rediscovering and renewing the sounds of his Gaelic heritage, and creating exciting new music that transcends the boundaries of traditional and popular music.
Jeri Foreman and Grace Honeywell are two dynamo multi instrumentalists whose
diverse talents, passion for global experiences and love for a good ol’ bluegrass breakdown brought them together in a new duo project. Jeri, originally from Adelaide, Australia and now based in Glasgow, is celebrated for her mastery of traditional Scottish fiddle music, Bluegrass and Old Time music. Grace, originally from Oregon, USA continues to redefine what it means to be a modern troubadour, seeking to create spaces where deep emotions can be expressed and shared through song.
