Join us at The National Piping Centre for a true meeting of Scottish folk generations!
This show brings together the ultimate Scots troubadour, Jim Malcolm, and the explosive young trio, The Canny Band. With four decades of touring experience, including seven years as the lead singer of Old Blind Dogs, Jim Malcolm’s pure, warm folk voice is legendary. Described by Dirty Linen as "two parts Archie Fisher, one part Dick Gaughan", he takes audiences on a mellow, heartfelt, and humorous musical journey around Scotland.
For this special concert, he is joined by The Canny Band (piano, accordion, and bodhrán). This dynamic trio has quickly stormed the trad scene with their fusion of traditional, classical, and jazz influences, winning multiple accolades, including a Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Award.
