Ready to launch!

After many months in the planning, we can now unveil the line-up for Celtic Connections 2014! We not only celebrate the vast riches of Scotland’s music scene, but also we bring outstanding artists from around the world and welcome them to our city.

In this, the 21st year, we bring together a truly international gathering of world class names in folk, roots, world, traditional, indie, blues and jazz.  We’ve tried to help you search for events more easily by providing a full list of artists as it stands (keep an eye on this as you never know who else will be added in the coming weeks…) and also including enhanced venue information.

This year, to add to the many venues already in use at the festival, we have added Scotland’s amazing new arena - the SSE Hydro - for two fantastic concerts, Glasgow’s own Del Amitri, and a very special Homecoming Scotland Burns night, with artists like the Mahotella Queens from South Africa, and the Raghu Dixit Project from India.

Don’t forget that the music continues into the wee small hours at our Festival Club, this year in the newly refurbished Art School.  Tickets are on sale and always in high demand, so get yours now!

"I think Glasgow is one of the best cities in the world to experience music, and when it’s with the atmosphere of Celtic Connections it has the potential to be a life-affirming experience."
