Songwriters Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Beggins met, and started writing together, while touring as backing musicians. Returning home to Austin, Texas, they formed Wild Child, launching its first album, Pillow Talk, in 2011. Three subsequent albums saw the indie pop band continue to grow its sound and following.
In recent years, Wilson and Beggins have explored different sonic directions – with Wilson joining Glorietta and debuting her critically acclaimed Motown-influenced Sir Woman, while Beggins released an album as his musical alter ego Coco Zandi. During lockdown, however, the duo rejoined forces to perform online for Wild Child fans and write songs for the band’s latest album, End of the World.
