Forged in Scotland's traditional music community, but also drawing on the folk music styles of the Balkans and North America, Dallahan create an original and seamless musical montage. Their mission is to take their listeners on a journey, traversing styles and countries of the world in a dazzling live show, creating their own unique brand of World-folk delivered with stunning virtuosity. Since the bands formation six years ago, they have toured extensively in Europe and North America and even represented Britain at the bicentenary British/Nepalese celebrations in Kathmandu and have enjoyed such varied on-stage collaborations as with The Royal Scottish National Orchestra, songwriting legend Dougie Maclean, and Nepal's traditional music exponents Kutumba.

Dallahan will be playing material from their newest album ‘Smallworld’, mostly original music and song informed by various folk styles of the world that explores themes including love, famine and racial inequality.

Juuri & Juuri (Root & Root) dives into the history of Finnish music tradition, combining ancient Kalevala tunes of the East and 19th century fiddle tradition of the West, creating something totally new. Juuri & Juuri’s arrangements of the fiddle tradition are basically careful copies of the joy and sorrow you hear on old archive tapes – if you listen. With the ancient tunes the duo digs deeper. They play together music that traditionally has been played solo on the kantele, jouhikko and other antiquated instruments. Juuri & Juuri has performed in all major Finnish folk festivals and toured in Germany, the UK and Scandinavia.
