Cellist Alice Allen joins forces with the wonderful Su-a Lee for a special performance, celebrating the music of eighteenth-century Scottish cellist, professor and writer John Gunn.
Remarkably, these works have never been professionally recorded and remain largely unheard today. Allen and Lee will perform a selection of the duets, bringing this neglected repertoire to life through musical dialogue, expressive phrasing and a shared commitment to Scotland’s rich musical heritage.
The performance marks the forthcoming January release of Alice Allen’s recording of the complete collection, offering a rare opportunity to discover a fascinating and overlooked chapter in Scotland’s musical history.
