A special night to celebrate the life and legacy of Tiree
accordion tutor Gordon Connell. Awarded STMA Music Tutor of the year in 2010,
very few people will ever match the impact on a community and island as Gordon
did over five decades of music tuition, sessions and ceilidhs.
His former pupils will join together to pay tribute to Gordon with one of the biggest ceilidh's Glasgow has ever seen! Featuring Angus MacPhail (Skipinnish), Campbell Brown (Gunna Sound), Daniel & Martin Gillespie (Skerryvore), Ian Smith (Trail West), Eilidh MacFadyen (Dùn Mòr) and an all-star house band including Ross Wilson (Tide Lines), Jamie MacDonald (Eabhal, Dùn Mòr, Hebridean Fiddle Project) and Andrew Findlater (Trail West). Hosted by Take the Floor's accordion maestro Gary Innes.
