Celebrating ten highlight-packed years of the Roaming Roots Revue, our annual collaborative concert showcasing contemporary artists’ dynamic dialogue with iconic forebears, tonight’s reunion party cherry-picks acts from previous programmes, revisiting themes including tributes to The Band, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, The Beatles’ Abbey Road and the music of Laurel Canyon.

Curated as ever by Roddy Hart & The Lonesome Fire, guests include Del Amitri’s Justin Currie, fresh from a sellout tour with their first new album in 19 years, Fatal Mistakes. Also featured are Sunderland art-rock darlings Field Music, Admiral Fallow’s Louis Abbott and Sarah Hayes, and ex-Temperance Movement frontman Phil Campbell. Scotland’s Rachel Sermanni, expat Californian Jesca Hoop and Kate Stables’ collective This Is the Kit present three contrasting faces of 21st-century indie-folk, while Fife-born veteran Rab Noakes brings his vast distilled knowledge of US and UK popular music, and Cardiff’s Zervas & Pepper magically reinvent the sounds of 1960s and 70s US folk-rock.
