Awarded with first prize in The Battle Of Folk Bands at Celtic Connections 2022, Deira is a trio based in Asturias (Spain). They are presenting their new album Alba. Their music has a strong connection with Scottish music as they are influenced and inspired from many musicians in the Glasgow scene. Their arrangements show a renewal of traditional music with a contemporary element and modern atmospheres. They started playing together as a band in 2019 in the Asturias tent at Interceltic Festival of Lorient in Brittany. After obtaining several awards in competitions for new bands, they had a summer tour in 2022 that took them to important folk festivals in Scotland and Spain.
