Hannah Read and Andy Monaghan are made of different stuff. Hannah's a finely hewn product of Scotland's folk heritage, Andy a raw component of its indie present.

Hannah and Andy met in a cauldron of contrast: Brooklyn. Hannah moved there to develop her skills as a versatile multi-instrumentalist. She's best known for her fiddle playing and songwriting, and on hearing her voice MOJO Magazine called her one of "the finest singers of the day". In 2018 Hannah released Way Out I'll Wander, her highly acclaimed solo record that brought comparisons to Sandy Denny, Joni Mitchell and Feist and weaves influences from both sides of the Atlantic.

Andy's one of Glasgow's most sought-after collaborators and producers. Through his studio in the east end courses the lifeblood of the city's indie scene. Andy honed his skills in Frightened Rabbit, and over the course of a decade developed the band's emotive collage guitar sound and sonic approach. It was with Frightened Rabbit that Andy enjoyed top-ten records, sell-out tours on both sides of the Atlantic and collaboration with indie institutions The National and Death Cab for Cutie. Scott Hutchison, Frightened Rabbit's heart and singer, gave Andy free rein to produce his solo record, Owl John.
