A member of beloved alt-folk band The Be Good Tanyas, Frazey Ford’s second solo album, Indian Ocean found her working with Al Green’s band, The Hi Rhythm Section, the iconic architects of the Memphis soul sound. This critically-acclaimed soul-driven album was recorded in Memphis’ historic Royal Studios and Afterlife Studios in Vancouver and “comes marinated in the soul tradition inherent to its birthplace,” says NPR.  The music, combines Ford’s sensual and opulent vocals with Al Green’s band, The Hi Rhythm Section. The gritty breakup anthem “Done,”  was among CBC Music’s most unforgettable videos of 2015.  Frazey is currently recording her 3rd solo album due out in the winter of 2020 on the Arts & Crafts label.

27-year-old Edinburgh-born singer/songwriter Adam Holmes is one of the brightest stars on the UK roots music scene, mixing traditional and contemporary folk influences with his own brand of soul and Americana. Twice nominated for a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award, his three albums have been nominated for Scottish Album of the Year in 2014, 2017 and 2018. Live, he and his band the Embers combine the rhythm and blues, country and folk music textures of classic artists such as The Band, Tom Petty and The Heartbeakers and Ryan Adams and The Cardinals with their own hint of Scotland.
