Masters of their craft, Dermot Byrne, Ross Ainslie, Tim Edey, and Éamonn Coyne join forces for this very special performance. 

Accordionist Dermot Byrne is one of Ireland’s best traditional musicians, winning the TG4 Traditional Musician of the Year in 2013. Ross Ainslie is one of Scotland’s most skilled musicians and composers, playing pipes, whistles and cittern. 

Tim Edey is rated by many as one of the world's finest melodoen and guitar players in the folk & contemporary scene. Irish-born, Edinburgh-based Éamonn Coyne can turn his hand to tenor banjo, mandolin, tenor guitar, six-string guitar and tenor national steel guitar. 

Together, their playing styles complement one other to create a sumptuous, soaring sound, equally at home next to a roaring pub fireplace as it is on stage.  

A unique pairing of two contemporary powerhouses of their respective traditions of North Connacht and Shetland, Steph Geremia and Chris Stout bring the flute, fiddle and voice together in a truly glorious celebration of melody and song.

Chris Stout and his innovative and intoxicating approach to traditional music is no stranger to Celtic Connections and is well known for his work with long term duo partner Catriona McKay and Shetland stalwarts Fiddlers’ Bid.

Acclaimed Irish flautist and singer, Steph Geremia is recognised for her technical prowess and ability to infuse performances with a unique blend of emotion and innovation. She has performed internationally for the past 17 years with artists including Eddi Reader, Alan Kelly Gang, The Chieftains and Lúnasa.

Joining them on stage is Ali Hutton on guitar. One of Scotland’s most gifted and charismatic musicians completing this trio for what promises to be a glittering and heartfelt performance.
