Two doughty champions of Gaelic culture, pipers and singers Allan MacDonald and Griogair Labhruidh both combine deep traditional knowledge with a highly individual approach. Among Griogair’s recent projects was a duo album with Donegal sean-nós singer Doimnic Mac Giolla Bhríde, exploring the ancient musical kinship between Ulster and Argyll, while MacDonald is especially renowned for reconnecting Gaelic song with piobaireachd.
