Celtic Rover is an exciting way to make the most of your festival experience through benefiting from a range of discounts on tickets and ‘money can’t buy’ benefits while at the same time supporting our Education Programme.
“Celtic Connections is when old friends meet up and new friends join in. They catch up, swap tales, have frequent coffees and blethers in the Members Lounge, recommend shows and enjoy a package of extra bonuses such a further discounts, invites and much more… What's even better is that being a Celtic Rover not only lets you have a fabulous, fantastic, fun time it also supports the Celtic Connections Education Programme which means that young people get the chance to share in a whole range of amazing performances from musicians from all over the world."- Lilian, Celtic Rover
Thanks to our 2018 Celtic Rover members, our Education Programme saw more than 12,000 school children across Scotland learn about traditional, folk and world music. Up to 9,000 children from across Scotland travelled to Glasgow Royal Concert Hall to enjoy five free morning concerts by leading Celtic musicians. For many this was their first time experiencing live music!
The Education Programme also goes into schools and in 2018 around 3,400 Glasgow school children enjoyed free in-school workshops, our largest outreach figure yet! The children can try out traditional Celtic instruments such as the bodhran, fiddle, clarsach and whistle, with some of the best professional Celtic musicians in the country on hand to share their experience and skills.
Celtic Rover memberships for 2019 will be live soon. Sign up to our newsletter on the homepage to be first to know!
